Robalo R317 Major Features and Amenities
The Robalo R317 dual console is powered by twin F300 Yamaha outboards. BoatTEST has run sea trials on the R317 and found that her top speed is 55 mph, and best cruise is at 3500 RPM, where she goes 30 mph and has a range of 422 statute miles (367 nm). A joystick makes docking a breeze.
She is outfitted for fishing, entertaining, watersports and cruising and has comfortable seating both forward and aft. The R317 has a hardtop for sun and rain protection. Her electric-flush head makes a day on the water with the whole family a pleasant experience for all. Her stern seating with wide usable swim platform is one of the best in class. Perhaps most important is her high windshield in front the helm and companion seat, which keeps things cozy when there is a nip in the air. There’s a small cabin for one which is an ideal place for children (or Dad) to take a nap.

All SBF boats are allowed to go up to 50 miles offshore, and up and down the coast as far as possible in the time allowed. Reach those fishing grounds and other destinations in comfort in the 32’ Robalo R317 dual console. Book as many as four consecutive weekdays, and cruise up to see the manatees in Crystal River, or cruise down to the Everglades. Anchor off deserted beaches or venture out to the fishing grounds.

The Sovereign Boat Fleet has been designed for people who want a bespoke experience on a premium vessel and the ability to get access to the boat when they want it. All club boats have electric, private heads, hardtops for sun and rain protection, a joystick or bow thruster for ease of docking, GPS/chartplotter, quality stereo, electric anchor windless, VHF radio for safety, and twin engines in all boats except one. All of SBF boats are comfortable for the whole family.

Because there are two SBF boats in Bradenton/Cortez -- the Axopar 28 Cabin and the Robalo R317 dual console -- are owned by the same person, boaters who buy a package in one boat can reserve days in the other vessel as well. This means that people in the Bradenton/Cortz area can enjoy all manner of activities on any given day – no matter what the weather! (The Axopar 28 has an air condition cabin.) This is an unusual opportunity for boaters to enjoy two very different boats and maximize their pleasure on the water.

Here’s How Our Program works
- Every SBF boat operator must pass our boat handling proficiency exam. All family members over 21 are eligible as operators after taking the test, and if needed, taking an available safe boating course administered by a USCG captain
- Charter by the day, or buy a package of days that fits in with your life-style.
- Club membership fees consist of annual dues, and monthly maintenance fees.
- Reserve the days you want the boat online. Some rules apply.
- Our boats are intended for member operation, but if a captain is wanted, the Club will supply one for an extra fee.
- Once you’re done for the day, thoroughly clean the boat for the next user. Alternatively, SBF will have the boat cleaned for a fee.
- Unlimited Members and 25-day package buyers are first in line for renewal for subsequent years, as we limit the number of members rentals for each boat.
